Located in Charleston, SC, the Medical University of South Carolina’s bronchiectasis (BE) and nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) program serves patients across South Carolina, southeastern states, and beyond. We offer expert, compassionate care for people with BE, pulmonary NTM, and non-pulmonary NTM. Our program provides personalized care led by a dedicated team of specialists—pulmonology and infectious disease physicians, along with skilled professionals in nursing, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, nutrition, psychology, microbiology, and radiology—all working together to optimize each patient’s physical, nutritional, and emotional health. We specialize in managing the complexities of BE and NTM, prioritizing guideline-driven treatment strategies as well as access to clinical trials and other research programs to enhance the understanding and management of these conditions. Our medical center offers access to other important specialty services including thoracic surgery, audiology, otolaryngology, allergy/immunology, pulmonary rehabilitation, psychology/psychiatry, and gastrointestinal specialists to support comprehensive and holistic management of BE and NTM.
