Past World Bronchiectasis Day Campaigns

2023

Building off the momentum created from the previous year, the 2023 World Bronchiectasis Day campaign proved to be even more successful than its inaugural year. The theme for 2023 focused on treatment options and disease management goals. An international planning committee co-chaired by Dr. Tim Aksamit, Medical Director of Bronchiectasis and NTM 360 at the COPD Foundation and Pulmonary and Critical Care Specialist at Mayo Clinic, and Professor James Chalmers, EMBARC Chair and British Lung Foundation Chair of Respiratory Research, University of Dundee helped to organize the event. Multiple educational and awareness events were convened as part of a global schedule of events held in honor of World Bronchiectasis Day. An impressive 2.26 million media impressions were counted as a measurement of the success and the scale of World Bronchiectasis Day's reach.
